f/Stop Workshops “France 2017”
October 12-21, 2017
This workshop begins on land staying 3 nights in scenic Caen on the Normandy Coast, then features a 4-night Seine River cruise on the luxurious French riverboat from CroisiEurope , and a night in Paris, plus some of France’s most beautiful sites.
“I visited most of our stops from my CroisiEurope Cruise and loved every one of them. Please join me in France on this very special cruise and tour.” Joe Wagenhals
Cost: $2799 per artist sharing a double room. Single room/cabin: Add $525 to the double rate.
Airfare to Paris is not included in your tour cost. If you would like assistance, we can help with your air through any airport at your request for our normal service fee. If you book your own air, send us your flight details so we know which terminal and when to meet you in Paris.
f/Stop Artists’ Workshop France: Everyone has the opportunity to take photos or video with a multitude of devices today, our phone, iPad, computer, and even a camera makes taking the shot a simple task, but the final result may not be what we wanted and we may not have the chance to take it again.
My artistic experience at putting color to canvas has taught me some very important lessons as I process the image I want to express. Perhaps the first is to capture the image, then light and shadows, followed by color and composition to start and in many instances it requires making a sketch or taking a picture to preserve the features needed for the finished work. f/Stop Artists’ Workshop, “France 2017” gives you the opportunity to personally capture your own “plein air” image to paint in places like Monet’s actual pond and garden settings when you return to your studio. Our instructors can provide support along the way.
f/Stop Workshops instructors, Joe Wagenhals & Gary Walker offer the techniques and tips needed to the create correct exposure and composition necessary for a good painting or photograph from basic to advanced levels as we immerse ourselves in our surroundings. Imagine traveling to Europe, visiting Renaissance cities & cathedrals and capturing the same visions artists like Monet saw and painted. Walk the same paths where our soldiers fought and died in Normandy and reflect on their sacrifices at the American Forces Cemetery before traveling the Seine River the next four nights with daily stops on our way to Paris, our final overnight in central Paris before returning home.
“This will be our third workshop with Joe & Gary and are anxious add a river cruise to our bucket list.”
“Ireland was wonderful, and I got many new ideas for my images, Good Job!” “Everything was Great, Thank you!”
“I can’t wait for the Next Workshop!”
This workshop begins Thursday, October 12, 2017 when guests depart the USA on their overnight flight to Paris, and the next three nights in the seaside town of Caen on the Normandy Coast with daily excursions before boarding our river cruise ship the next four nights, so there is a minimum of packing and moving.
