Located on the stunning Playa del Carmen beach, the RIU Playacar Resort offers a perfect vacation. This all-inclusive resort has satellite TV, A/C, room safe, and a mini-bar, among many other amenities. Cool off in one of the swimming pools, or swim up and have a beverage right in the pool. Or hit the beach and the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean. Try windsurfing, snorkeling, kayaking and more. The RIU has four restaurants so feast on a buffet, try exotic Asian, Italian at La Traviata, or a steakhouse. And enjoy all the beverages you want at the restaurants or several bars. One of the specialties is a frozen concoction called the Blue Ocean (pineapple, curacao and rum).
ScubaCaribe is PADI 5 Star Dive Resort and the largest scuba diving and water sports center in Mexico. The dive center offers the best diving experience in Playa del Carmen. There are opportunities for divers of all levels and several dive sites to explore like reef diving in Playa del Carmen, Cozumel and Cenotes caverns.
When at the resort, you can check out several optional day trips, all of which include transportation. There is a lovely shopping area right across from the resort, but the town of Playa del Carmen is just a short cab ride or a stroll away with entertainment in the main plaza on the beach right by the ferry boats that can take you to the Island of Cozumel every hour for just $8 round-trip. There area also many, many shops, restaurants, clubs and open air vendors.
